This means that flights to repatriate tourists stranded in the central city due to Covid-19 outbreak had to take off before 0:00 am on the same day.
Earlier, the Ministry of Transport ordered domestic airlines to increase the number of flights from Da Nang as about 80,000 tourists are stuck in the city.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV) on Sunday granted permission to Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines and VietJet Air to carry out more flights from the city.
The Ministry also decided to halt road passenger transport within Da Nang and from/to Da Nang, exept for transportation of patients, workers and experts working for business establishments, food and foodstuff, and goods.
Over the past three days, Viet Nam confirmed 16 new Covid-19 patients, including 15 cases linked to three hospitals in Da Nang.
The latest oubreak forced the municipal authorities to impose social distancing rules since 0:00 am on Tuesday.
Accordingly, residents in Hai Chau, Thanh Khe, Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son, Cam Le, and Lieu Chieu Districts are requested to stay at home and only go out in case of extreme necessity such as buying food and medicine, emergencies, and working at factories.
The residents are also requested to keep a distance of at least two meters from each other.
A crowd of more than two persons are not allowed outside offices, schools, hospitals and public places.
The central city decided to lock down three hospitals: Hospital C, General Hospital, and Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital where the patients visited just before they were confirmed positive for Covid-19./.
