Agreeing on the policy to invest in a wind power equipment manufactory in Nam Dinh

Information from Nam Dinh provincial People’s Committee (PPC) said that PPC of this province has just agreed to the policy for Rang Dong Mechanical Joint Stock Company (under Xuan Thien Group) to research and survey the off-shore wind power projects on ​​the sea of Giao Thuy, Hai Hau and Nghia Hung districts, and built a wind power equipment manufactory in Nghia Hung district.

In October the Xuan Thien group proposed to invest in Rang Dong Mechanical Manufactory in Nghia Hung district for manufacturing wind power turbines and towers with a total capacity of 1,000 MW per year, including an off-shore turbine with a capacity of 5-20 MW on each tower. Rang Dong Manufactory places a goal to reach a localization rate of 70% for every wind power turbine. Rang Dong Manufactory will also manufacture the heavy industrial mechanical equipment.

Rang Dong Mechanical Manufactory with a total investment level of 3,000 billion VND expects to be started in May 2022 and completed in 2024.

Along with agreeing on investment policy on building Rang Dong Manufactory in document No 913/UBND-VP5 dated November 22, 2021 Nam Dinh PPC has agreed to a policy for Rang Dong Mechanical Company to study and survey the off-shore wind power projects on the sea of Giao Thuy, Hai Hau and Nghia Hung districts.

The surveying area is about 12,500 km2, bordering the Thai Binh sea area in the North, Ninh Binh sea area in the South, the low tide line in Giao Thuy, Hai Hau and Nghia Hung in the West, and the exclusive economic zone of Vietnam in the East.
