In 2022, despite recovering and maintaining the “new normal” of production and business activities because of domestic and foreign market conditions as well as negative impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, NSRP has been trying to maintain care for the neighboring community.
In the joyful and exciting atmosphere to welcome the new school year of 2022-2023 and bustling atmosphere from the children nationwide to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, NSRP had implemented several meaningful activities in the framework of Mid-Autumn Festival celebration program for children and local people in the affected area.
The program included 03 main activities: Organizing the Mid-Autumn outdoor event at Tinh Hai ward; delivering gifts to kids at Mai Lam, Tinh Hai, and Bac Yen kindergartens; and delivering 60 Mid-autumn gift sets to disabled and orphan children, children in difficult conditions, and in declining households in 07 affected communes (Mai Lam, Tinh Hai, Hai Yen, Nghi Son, Hai Ha, and Hai Thuong) and other difficult communes/wards in Nghi Son district.
On the evening of September 14, 2022, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Tinh Hai ward (WPC), the “Full Moon Festival” event was successfully organized with the enthusiastic participation of thousands of children and people from the refinery’s fence-line communities.
The event witnessed the presence of Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan – Tinh Hai Ward’s People Committee’s Chairman, Mr. Trinh Xuan Duc – NSRP Social and Community Deputy Section Manager, together with other representatives from Tinh Hai WPC, Mai Lam WPC, Bac Yen village (Hai Yen commune) and the local schools.
Art performances, traditional lion dances, magic shows put on by the artists of Lam Son Theater, as well as the dance sports, fashion show of children from Tinh Hai Kindergarten, and interactive games with Chú Cuội and Chị Hằng brought them a festival full of joy and laughter.
This Mid-Autumn Festival activity implemented annually by NSRP has been deeply appreciated by the local authorities and the communities.
“In addition to the social support activities for local people in the neighboring area over the last years, this activity has proved long-term companionship of NSRP that contributes to the positive and sustainable development of the community, especially those directly affected by the Project.” – shared by NSRP representative.
